"The anti-strike law is authentic fascism" Letter to a dead friend

As in other plans the government is inventing its own constitutional system that has nothing to do with the Constitution of the Republic founded by the Resistance. The right to strike is an individual and there are already laws governing it. Turn it into a majority union power, among other things to be implemented in virtual form, ie non-existent, it simply means clear that right. Nor is the argument that this measure would have only exceptionally and undemocratic in the transport sector. It 'obvious, in fact, that the principles that are established here, because they address issues of a constitutional nature, can not be restricted to one sector. The Government wants to hit the right to strike because he knows perfectly well that in the coming months there will be more and more social conflicts due to the crisis and its mismanagement and unjust. Limit the freedom to impose authoritarian decisions and suppress dissent is a hallmark of anti-democratic systems and, in our history, is the true characteristic of fascism. If the Government will go ahead on these measures will require a policy response and unprecedented union, both in terms of social relations and trade unions, both in terms of recourse to the judiciary and the Constitutional Court. It 'clear that after this decision, with this government there can only be broken and social conflict. Rete28Aprile Rome, February 26 2009
