Basil the Great, "the Great" (in greek: Βασίλειος ο Μέγας, Kayseri, 329 - Kayseri , January 1, 379), was a bishop greek, revered as a saint by the Church, whose bishop was well as confessor and Doctor of the Church and the first of the Cappadocian Fathers.
